Mood Music for the Holidays, revisited

At this time last year, I shared my picks for the best "Mood Music for the Holidays." I still adore my original choices. In fact, I'm listening to Winter's Knight right this minute.

Here are a few more I would add:
* An Even Scarier Solstice by the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society, brand new and even better than its predecessor
* Nutcracker Suite for Guitar by Stevan Pasero, a gentle and mesmerizing album
* Yule by Linn Barnes and Allison Hampton, for Celtic harp, guitar, and lute goodness
* December by George Winston, a classic now available in its 20th anniversary version

And now, a quiz from the wonderful myrebelcat:

Which of the Professionals Are You?

You are Bodie! You're tall, dark, handsome (and engagingly modest). You've got it all - fast cars, willing birds, and a chance to play with guns!
Take this quiz!

At Christmas I no more desire a rose
Than wish a snow in May’s new-fangled mirth;
But like of each thing that in season grows.

- William Shakespeare, Love's Labors Lost

December is one of my very favorite holiday albums. Scarier Solstice looks good.

December is gorgeous, isn't it?

Scarier Solstice, like A Very Scary Solstice, is an absolute hoot. Very funny, wickedly clever stuff.

Ah, you and my hubby, arymetore should talk then. He thinks they're the best band in the cosmos, and will not be convinced otherwise. ;~)
