All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

Any chance you'll make it to ConCarolinas next year? (See this post.) My fingers are crossed.

I saw the shooting script
...before the movie was released. A friend of mine was a huge Harrison Ford fan, and she had struck up a pretty good friendship with his assistant. She got a copy of the script, and I got to read it. This was in early 1982. I had already been a Philip K. Dick fan, and I was pretty pleased with the translation.

That must've been amazing, holding what would become history in your hands! I agree with you about the translation. Great stuff.

re-release when?
I understand that they're releasing a crispy new version this year, with R. Scott's blessing and assistance. Anyone know of an announced release date?

Re: re-release when?
More info on the Bladerunner re-release. It's enough to make your head spin: there will be so many different versions and combinations of discs that Amazon has posted a "Which Version of Bladerunner Should I Buy?" guide:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/richpub/syltguides/fullview/R2VT2ECILZ4O3B

I don't have a HD player, so I'll probably be happy with the 2 disc DVD version.

PS -- The fun starts Dec. 18, 2007
