My latest unabridged narration for StarShipSofa, which is of Nicole Kornher Stace's story "To Seek Her Fortune" (from Clockwork Phoenix 3), is now available to stream or download on the latest episode of the podcast. If you listen, I hope you enjoy! (A full list of links to my unabridged dramatic readings is here.)

The latest behind-the-scenes blog from The Hobbit shows some instantly identifiable moments from the novel, including a wonderful (and moving) glimpse of Bilbo when he's climbed to the top of the oak in Mirkwood. .

"Sorry! I don't want any adventures, thank you. Not today. Good morning! But please come to tea - any time you like! Why not tomorrow? Come tomorrow! Good-bye!"
- Bilbo Baggins, The Hobbit

Isn't it a wonderful glimpse behind the scenes? It was soooooo cool to see Martin as Bilbo atop the trees!

Oh, that's so sweet of you! Thank you so much, both for listening and for your kind words. I adore reading aloud, and I always have, but I've never been fond of my own voice, so it's lovely and heartening to hear this. I do hope you enjoy the story!

I know what you mean about so little time - there's so much quality listening material available now, and too few hours in the day! I'm perpetually behind. ;)

YAY! You'll be in dwarvish heaven! :D

And such a brilliant cast. I'm so excited. We'll have to compare notes once the first half hits the big screen! *hugs*
