I am so sorry for being so terribly behind on my email. (I'm hoping to catch up during my waits in the airport later this week.) This is brilliant, and I'm going to post about it now! Thanks so much for the heads up! You're the best.

Oh, that hair!

And how wonderful that's she's being taught the wonder of books at such a young age!

LOL!

Oh, that hair!

Those were the first words out of my mouth when my sister shared these with me. :D

And how wonderful that's she's being taught the wonder of books at such a young age!

Aw, thank you so much. Her mother (my sister) is as much of a bookworm as I am, so it's a high priority. I tend to think a love of books is one of the greatest gifts a person can receive!

Get them started reading early and you'll hook them for life. (At least, that's how it worked for me.)

So true! That's how it worked for my sister (Kaitlyn's mother) and me, too.

The HAIR! She's like an adorable little Dr. Seuss character! Or maybe a Munchkin!

I had to laugh... right after I posted my comment, I saw yours, right above it. Not only did we both exclaim "the hair!" - but we both referenced Oz, you with the munchkin comment and me with the icon I chose.

ROFLOL! She comes by those munchkin genes naturally. At her one-year checkup, the pediatrician said her development was perfect and even above-average, but she was going to be quite a petite woman. Of course, considering her mother, that wasn't a surprise. Little did he know my sister's a good two-three inches taller than me! Both of our grandmothers claimed to be five feet tall, and both of them exaggerated. ;)

"Oh, the hair!" was the first thing out of my mouth when I saw these photos. Hahaha. When the wind's a-blowin', you gotta let it fly...

"Almost Cut My Hair" (David Crosby)

Almost cut my hair, it happened just the other day.
It's getting' kinda long, I coulda said it was in my way.
But I didn't and I wonder why, I feel like letting my freak flag fly,
Cause I feel like I owe it to someone.

Must be because I had the flu' for Christmas and I'm not feeling up to par.
It increases my paranoia, like looking at my mirror and seeing a police car.
But I'm not giving in an inch to fear cause I missed myself this year.
I feel like I owe it to someone.

When I finally get myself together, I'm going to get down in that sunny southern weather.
And I find a place inside to laugh, separate the wheat from the chaff.
I feel like I owe it to someone.
