"The morns are meeker than they were"

A few links for your Wednesday:

* For those interested in mythology and Joseph Campbell's "hero's journey" model, the master reading list for Campbell's famous "Introduction to Mythology" class (which he taught at Sarah Lawrence College from the late 1930s to the mid-1970s) is here and filled with "must read" world texts.

* The new edition of Emily Flygare-Carlén's The Magic Goblet, which I edited for Valancourt Books and which came out this summer, is now available at Barnes and Noble (for significantly less than Amazon's price!).

* The Classic Tales now has a special Edgar Allan Poe audiobook collection available. (This is separate from the weekly Classic Tales Podcast.)

* Check out the auction currently taking place at Sweet Charity for a very worthy cause, RAINN (The Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network). The folks at Sweet Charity have more fannish goodies up for auction than you can imagine, from baked goods and apparel to graphics and fiction. The auction ends on Sept. 22, so visit the site soon!
Sweet Charity

The morns are meeker than they were,
The nuts are getting brown;
The berry’s cheek is plumper,
The rose is out of town.

The maple wears a gayer scarf,
The field a scarlet gown.
Lest I should be old-fashioned,
I’ll put a trinket on.
