The Rise of Worlds Gone Wrong

Today I am the guest of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Catawba Valley, where I will be giving the presentation "The Rise of Worlds Gone Wrong: Why Do Today's Young Adults Love Dystopias and What Can We Learn from This?" For those attendees and others who may be interested, I am posting the bibliography of primary and secondary sources used to prepare my talk.

"Human spirit is the ability to face the uncertainty of the future with curiosity and optimism. It is the belief that problems can be solved, differences resolved. It is a type of confidence. And it is fragile. It can be blackened by fear, and superstition. By the year 2050, when the conflict began, the world had fallen upon fearful, superstitious times."
