Sometimes... I stalk your courses on ClassFinder.
Off topic (sorry...), but I was just wondering how your summer course is going. (Is it still in session?) Do you think the students are enjoying it? Are you enjoying it?

Re: Sometimes... I stalk your courses on ClassFinder.
Thanks for asking! We're in the next-to-last week right now, and I've been really pleased with the quality of the discussion. It's a small group, as summer courses often are, but they seem to be enjoying the reading and the ideas. This is the first time this class has been offered, and thus far I'm very happy with how it's gone.

I hope your summer is going well!

I bought a copy from Jef at Mythcon (which was lovely but *you* were missed); haven't even had a chance to crack it open yet. Soon!

Thanks so much for getting a copy! I really hope you enjoy it. I just love Jef's beautiful illustrations. I was so sorry to be unable to make it to Mythcon this year. It sounds like it was a definite success!

I'd love to see you again! And I'd love to take part in another Mythcon. I saw the announcement about 2011; are the dates/venues for 2012 and 2013 public yet?

2012 will be Berkeley (always a great Mythcon! these guys really know how to do it) again but since we just set them up, we don't have dates yet - they will aim for late July/early August.

2013 in East Lansing (at Michigan State Univ) is mid-July because that's the date the works for the chair and the university. But we are trying to shift back to late July/early August because that seems to work better for more people.

I know that the MythSoc will be sending out a survey soon with some questions about Mythcons and how we run them - keep an eye open for it :D
