Still alive!

Greetings, all!

I apologize for my recent silence. Just so you know, I'm now in the final ten days or so before my book manuscript is due for The Trail of Tears and Indian Removal, so I probably will remain rather quiet until March. I'm sending all of you my best wishes, and I look forward to catching up with you very soon!

The tendinous part of the mind, so to speak, is more developed in winter; the fleshy, in summer. I should say winter had given the bone and sinew to literature, summer the tissues and the blood.
~John Burroughs

You're playing some of my favorite music! Best of luck as you hurry toward the finish line on your project; I know the outcome will be nothing short of wonderful. Talk to you soon. ::sendsbighug::

You work that you may keep pace with the earth and the soul of the earth. For to be idle is to become a stranger unto the seasons, and to step out of life's procession that marches in majesty and proud submission towards the infinite. ~Kahlil Gibran

Thanks so much! Hugs are most welcome. So you like Dead Can Dance too, eh? Great taste! :-P I love your quote. Thank you so much for sharing it with me! *hugs back*

Dead Can Dance is a favorite! (I own several of their albums, but I'm rather partial to 'Into the Labyrinth')

Please let me know when your book is available for purchase. I believe there are many among us who are very interested in reading it; keep us posted!

p.s. I start my new job tomorrow! : )

Well, that is exciting! I hope the publication process goes smoothly! How do you come up with such appropriate quotes?
Feb. 20th, 2006 05:39 pm (UTC)
Thank you so much! It's my third with Greenwood Press, so I hope things will be as smooth this time as they've been in the past. Then again, this one will have illustrations, and I've never worked with that whole side of the process before, so it will be a somewhat new experience. I am grateful for your kind wishes!

And I'm glad you like the quotes. :-P

Congrats! Please be sure to let us know when it's available for purchase. Is this going to be a limited academic publication or standard Amazon-available sort of thing?

P.S. *FINALLY* got to spend your Xmas present... Look forward to a fencing, half-naked JC. ;-)

Re: Hello
Yay! Great news!!! Sounds like a lovely investment!!! :)

Thanks so much for your interest in the book! It will be an Amazon sort of thing. It hasn't shown up yet with my other babies, but I'll yell when it does. You are really very thoughtful to ask. Thanks. :)

More soon!

My gosh, you are truly amazing. All the articles and books and presentations you do and so amazingly nice. I am so glad you are my friend. You are who I a want to be when I grown up (even though I am sure I am several years older than you) Keep up the good work and good thoughts go with you at all time. I too like Dead Can Dance but much prefer Brendan's singing over Lisa's
